Recycle-Every-Thing has a mission to improve the environment by helping companies, individuals and events reduce waste. The organization has transformed tens of thousands of pieces of reused material to make art. Those pieces have been exhibited at galleries, fairs and markets all over Southern California. In addition to providing an alternative to waste through art, the mission is also to be a laboratory for material reuse in-house, reduction of waste energy and implementation of new technology.
Central to the whole idea is continuing education about advancements in recycling and the technology associated with material reuse. Outreach includes promoting, facilitating and collecting recycling at events and festivals. Physics lessons at local schools provide another way to reach a broader audience via hands on, show and tell demonstrations. Students and academic collaborators participate in workshops and creative lessons to foster a deeper affinity for materials, science, and math. Understanding the world is a crucial first step towards making a positive contribution.
